On June 18th I closed on our house and boy has it been one GIANT rollercoaster ride since. From landscaping, crooked door frames, too much landscaping, too little grass and way too many ANTS. I think the government should give me back not only my tax credit but a few more thousand for therapy. :)
Needless to say, we have our own house and even though we will be living in it fairly soon, it'll be an ongoing project for LIFE. I look forward to the planting, growing a vegetable garden, decorating and just relaxing on my own porch.
Owning your own home just puts you in a different mind set. It's a sense of accomplishment. It wasn't easy, months and months of planning and saving but we finally are here.
